Since July 1st 2017, a new general manager has taken the helm of SOGHU (Used Oil Management Association) and it is Mr. Jean Duchesneau, training accountant and assistant general manager at SOGHU for several years.

Mr. Gilles Goddard, outgoing General Manager

Mr. Gilles Goddard, SOGHU’s first general manager, has been at the helm of the organization since its creation in 2004.  Given his extensive expertise, he will continue to act as a consultant for a few more months. Mr. Duchesneau and Mr. Goddard have been working together for a few years to prepare for this important transition.

Mr. Duchesneau’s priorities at SOGHU will of course include maintaining the excellent material recovery rates achieved in recent years, but it is also important to modernize all of the procedures and services. In this sense, the addition of electronic forms, online payment for members, and the search for geo-localized collection facilities available on tablet and smartphone will be available soon on the website.

Several challenges await Jean Duchesneau in his new role, but he can certainly count on a serious and effective organization to support him within the Used Oil Management Association of Quebec.

Thank you to Mr. Goddard for setting up an organization that has become an environmental recovery model in Quebec and Canada.
